Xanterra Parks & Resorts Deploys UniFocus’ MEETINGScope™
Dallas—August 11, 2010
—
UniFocus today announced that Xanterra Parks & Resorts, a GUESTScope™
client, has now implemented MEETINGScope throughout their eight Ohio State Park Lodges.
“As the country’s largest park concessioner, it’s vital that we have a uniform system for tracking meeting
planner feedback that provides an effective forum for responding to their comments and concerns. We also
believe that a system such as this will lead to higher response rates from meeting planners,” said Dianna Rom,
Regional Director of Sales for Xanterra Parks & Resorts. “MEETINGScope enables us to distill the most critical
information so we can identify trends and make improvements to ensure we’re creating ‘top of mind’
awareness as a top venue choice.”
State park destinations and their related meeting facilities continue to be perceived as offering some of the
best values that can be found for group events. Maumee Bay Lodge & Conference Center, Ohio's premier
lodge and newest state park, is an example of how Xanterra Parks & Resorts is delivering more value.
“MEETINGScope gives us specific information about the service experience and how we can better manage
the entire meeting from initial contact to event delivery,” said Patrick Czarny, General Manager. “This
knowledge enables us to step up our game, earn their loyalty and keep revenue from walking out the door.”
“We are pleased to announce our latest strategic initiative with Xanterra Parks & Resorts” said Mark
Heymann, President and CEO of UniFocus. “MEETINGScope is gaining traction in the hospitality industry as
the best product of its kind for gaining market share and growing your meeting and events revenue.”
MEETINGScope utilizes survey questions designed to distill the most critically important issues surrounding the
meeting planner experience, and also includes these vital features:
- Revenue at Risk: From meeting planner satisfaction scores, identify where revenue is at risk associated
with your property’s performance for meetings and events. Based on the event planner’s intent to return
and recommend your facilities, you will know how this impacts the “Cost of Quality.”
— Clearly see dollar amount of revenue at risk from a dashboard.
— Slice results by property, region, or market segment to identify problem areas within your
portfolio and
their related revenue impact.
- Event Timeline: Easily determine what caused an event planner’s business to be at risk for future
meetings/events by looking at the results on a color-coded format by event dates.
- Critical Issues: Attack the most critically important issues to the success of your meetings business!
- Service Recovery Index: Know how well your staff is solving issues as categorized by problem type.
- Issue Analysis Reporting: Put effective corrective actions into play that relate to the frequency and types
of issues across your portfolio by property, region, or market segment..
In addition, MEETINGScope enables venue providers to match the right staff with the right meetings by
drawing from a database of more than 250,000 meeting-planner profiles. Rich-media online sales tools enable
you to book more events business as a vital ongoing source of revenue. And to keep this revenue, an
integrated Action Plan Tracking System that ties directly to a Meeting Planner Response System ensures that
proper service recovery occurs.
