Director of Operations



A Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing all Knowcross by Unifocus software implementation and consulting projects and supervising members of the Consulting and Implementation teams. A Director needs to have functional knowledge of all the Software platforms, and be able to interact with partners from the Departmental to the Executive to the Ownership level. Directors assist the Consultants in driving a culture of change in our client partners to make the necessary operational adjustments to optimize the potential of our system, and manage projects.


  1. Develop familiarity with the Company’s financial, timekeeping, labor Housekeeping and task management applications; keep up with training on new releases and changes in the software.
  2. Develops Project plans and implementation guides.
  3. Balance multiple projects and follow through on project deadlines.
  4. Interview applicants as requested and make recommendations for employment.
  5. Assist in the training and development of both new and experienced Consultants and Implementation Specialists.
  6. Implements and ensures adherence to Knowcross policies and procedures.
  7. Implements Knowcross by UniFocus software solutions in a consultative role if required.
  8. Conducts site visits to ensure projects are running on schedule and Knowcross processes are being followed.
  9. At the request of the VP of Operations or other Senior personnel, assists in development or administration of special projects.
  10. Performs other duties as required or assigned.


Requires college degree or equivalent work experience. Strong mathematical skills are required, as are the ability to work with people; proficiency in using spreadsheet and word processing software. Requires ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Requires good communications skills to relate to Corporate and Hotel Management. Requires the ability to give attention to detail. Requires extensive travel. Knowledge of hotel operations is strongly preferred. Successful individuals will also demonstrate cultural sensitivity and appreciate the differences among various organizational cultures.


Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to 4 years of college or Bachelor's Degree in hospitality, management, business, or related field.


Prefer a minimum of 5 - 8 years of hotel operations or IT / finance experience with demonstrated understanding of how hotels or restaurants operate.


Requires ability to sit in front of a computer for several hours at a time without back or eye strain; requires ability to lift up to 20 lbs. on occasion.


Based in Singapore with a Resident or PR status or qualify for Employment Pass


  1. Reports to the VP of Operations; cooperates with VP of Training, Chief Operating Officer, other Director(s) of Operations, Senior Consultants, and other senior staff at UniFocus and Knowcross.
  2. Establishes business relationships with above-property personnel: Asset Managers, Brand Executives, Ownership representatives.
  3. Establishes consultative relationships with hotel General Managers, Department Managers and Supervisors, and Finance Management as appropriate.
